Community Transit, the Everett-based bussing group that serves commuters between Snohomish County and Seattle, is taking it to the next level, literally. According to the Times: At nearly $800,000 per bus, the double-deckers cost more than a typical bus. But with 70 seats plus standing room, three double-deckers can carry as many people as four typical articulated buses, saving on fuel and repairs. Oregon Couple Indicted for Failing to Seek Medical Treatment for Dying Child Seattle | (0)
An Oregon City couple has been indicted for manslaughter and criminal mistreatment for failing to seek medical treatment for their seriously ill infant. Carl Worthington, 28, and Raylene Worthington, 25, surrendered Friday to charges that their inaction killed their infant daughter. The couple was held on $250,000 bail each and their first scheduled court appearance is this afternoon. The Worthingtons are members of Oregon City's Followers of Christ Church, which believes in faith healing. A Seabeck, Wash., man was arrested twice in one day for Driving Under the Influence. The 48-year-old man was pulled over twice by State Troopers on Friday for driving while intoxicated. The man was arrested once Friday morning with a blood-alcohol level of five times the legal limit. After being released, he must have gotten right back to drinking, because he was arrested that same night with a blood-alcohol level of four times the legal limit. Get Out Monday: The Cribs and Ra Ra Riot @ Chop Suey Seattle | (0)
Clearly we are big fans of The Cribs. The Brit-rock trio put out a great album last year, Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever, featuring the barreling title track (above).
